Shapes are reusable templates that define data fields you wish to extract from documents
Click on the Automations tab in the main sidebar.
Inside the Automations window, click on Shapes.
On the right side of the screen, click on Create new shape.
A side sheet will show up on the right of the screen.
Fill out the Name field with a name that best describes the new shape.
Click on Add Field.
Fill out the form. Let's dig into the form fields:
Name
Description
Type
isMany (optional)
Once you've filled out the form, click on Add Field.
Repeat the same process for every other data field you wish to extract.
Once you've defined all of the fields for the new shape, click on Save shape.
Thats it! Now you can view your newly created shape under the Shapes tab.
If you wish to update an existing shape, follow these simple steps:
Click on the Automations tab in the main sidebar.
Inside the Automations window, click on Shapes.
In the shapes table, select the shape you would like to update.
Once you click on the desired shape, a side sheet will open up that displays all of the fields defined for that shape.
Make the edits you need.
Once you're done editing the fields, click on Update shape.
